Waited here for two hours (on a Sunday evening so it's kinda understandable) before a guy who saw us earlier went out of his way to take to the border.―kamens64

We tried to leave Mostar on a Sunday afternoon but not many cars were going this direction at that time so it took quite a while. We first asked around the gas station and then held a sign near the main road.―kamens64

People are very friendly in general and want to pick up. Be right before the bus stop so they can stop there. A very kind hearted person picked us up:)―Anonymous

Great spot, cars are coming slow from the roundabout and have space to pull over. A guy took us right to the front door of our accommodation in Mostar. xd―viviii

Got a ride in 10min to Mostar after signing and asking around. One guy driving to Sarajevo took me. Im one femaleThere is a huge parking area for the restaurants and you can ask around, though people might be going in either direction. Cars driving past will be slow if there's traffic
I actually wanted to go to Medugorje, but for some reason couldn't get a ride back to Čapljina from here. People didn't seem to want to take hitchhikers. Plus it's tricky to get to Medugorje from Čaplinja. So I decided to hitch back to Mostar first and take Bus 48 from there

Waited an hour with 'treb' sign with no luck. Cars not always so slow. Success at a spot 20 mins walk southwards. Maybe this spot would work for someone else though.―adambarnard

Not the best spot to hitchhike but haven’t seen a better one. A student lived directly at the round about and saw me standing with a sign. Luckily he had to go to Mostar.―Anonymous

Outside a gas station and shaded mid-morning. Signed and thumbed before approaching a couple parked at the gas station for coffee asking if they were going to Mostar. They were tourists who had just come in from Montenegro that morning and were going straight to MostarI'm not sure how common it is for people to go to Mostar on this road (I feel like through Ljubinje is faster). Maybe I got lucky
Turns out we live in the same city, same district

Wanted to go south, with a sign Trebinje. When we tried to stop a car at 8 p.m. we did not succeed even after 90 minutes. The next morning even tho the traffic was slihtly weaker, we managed to catch a car to Trebinje in some 30 minutes. Overall a great place for hitchhiking, lots of space for the drivers too see u and pull over.―denisundav

Low traffic, we were super lucky and like the third vehicle that went by took us to Mostar. Used a sign Mostar/Tarčin/Konjic. Dream big is the lesson learned.―denisundav

We got a ride with a sign Mostar pretty quickly but the spot is mid - cars going fast, lots of cars going just locally.―simsvob

Two people standing at the petrol station exit, there's a sign pole where we found an "official hitch spot" sticker haha. Since it was Saturday morning and super hot most of the cars were full, lots of locals heading to the beach in Neum. Also a lot of ppl headed to Croatia. We got picked up by lovely couple who initially drove past but backtracked to take us to Stolac.―goguma
